A Ride To Benefit
the OREGON LEAGUE "GRit" program
brought to you by
swift summit nw, llc
Call your friends, grab your bicycle and helmet, and make sure your chain is well lubed for another rendition of this Lane County Spring Cycling Classic. After two years starting and ending in Coburg, Oregon, we're relocating to Brownsville, Oregon. Our beloved 100k and 150k routes remaine the same, and we've revamped the route for our 50k participants to a more scenic and rolling symphony. With rolling, low-traveled back country roads, and scenic breathtaking vistas, the Mohawk Valley Metric Century guarantees to leave you grinning ear to ear.
The Mohawk Valley Metric Century is a benefit for the Oregon Youth Mountain Bike League's "GRiT" Program, which is part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). GRiT recognizes the need to get more girls on bikes. GRiT's goal is to empower female student-athlete's to make their mark, on or off the bike. Currently, girls represents 20% of NICA's overall national student-athlete participation. GRiT seeks to increase that number significantly in Oregon over the next five years.
